Why were they so different?
Sparta and Athens were two separate city states in Ancient Greece. They were ruled completely differently, and they had different values and ways of behaving, and they were often at war with each other. Each one wanted to be the most powerful group, and each one despised the other.
Look at the differences.
Have a look at what they believed, and how they lived, and decide which city state you would prefer to live in.
