Process:

 1. Make a folder on the network to save your group's work in.

2. Make a critical path plan of the jobs you need to do, and the time you need to do them. The jobs are:

select your roles in the group
choose your city or location
do your research
draw art work in dabbler
collect resources and take photo
write articles
make advertisement
put page together in AW draw document
practise presentation

3. Choose your location, and then do your background research, both from the intranet, and from the books in the library. Dot jot notes as you go.

If you want to research any particular person, place or event on the internet, make an appointment to work with Miss Currie. You must have your teacher's permission first.

4. Look at the guidelines for each role, and as a group, make the decisions on how you will plan what goes on every page. You may help each other - remember that the final paper MUST contain four pages, and every page must be filled, and meet the given requirements.

You must consider consistency, and make sure each page has design consistency, and looks as though it comes from the same newspaper. (At the very least, make sure articles are written in the same font, and in the same size). Make sure you check out how to put together a newspaper page.

5. Sketch a rough copy of each page.  It won't have much writing on it - it will just show where the writing is (and how much is needed) and where the images go, and where the adverts go. It should also show what is on the page header (remember this will be more elaborate on the front page). When all four pages are planned, show the rough plans to the teacher to get them signed off. You should, at this stage, be able to tell your teacher exactly what each article will be about.

6. Work on your own and together, and write your articles, do your art work, and take your photo. Don't forget that the photo must look as though it was taken in the past, so plan it carefully!

7. Check the newspaper writing guide on the intranet, and begin putting your page together. Make sure every person in your group does this, and people who know what they are doing can help the others along.

8. You should now plan a brief oral presentation to the government officials who paid for your trip. You will use your newspaper as an aid for your presentation, but DO NOT read from it! Make sure that every member of the group does some of the speaking, and that you discuss why you would or would not like to be sent back in time permanently.
