The Genoa or Headsail trimmer sets and controls the headsails using sheets (ropes) and hydraulics to fine tune the sail shape. There are two positions on the boat - port or starboard, or upwind and downwind.
Upwind (when the boat is going towards the wind), he is responsible for the genoa, downwind (when the wind is behind the boat) the spinnaker.
