Jim left the NASA astronaut corps in 1973 to pursue to a different career, first with a marine company, and then in the telecommunications industry. He is now retired and enjoying life with his children and granchildren, at home in Texas with his wife, Marilyn.

Although Jim Lovell
never stood on the moon,
he went places physically,
psychologically,
heroically
and emotionally
most of us will never go.
