The Telecom Education Foundation is very proud to bring astronaut Dr Shannon Lucid to New Zealand as part of the Explorers and Adventurers programme. Meet and talk with Dr Lucid as she travels through the country between 3 November - 13 November, or read an interview with her before her mission to spend five months on the Space Station MIR with a Russian crew. During her time in New Zealand she will be giving talks at several host schools. Each talk will last approximately one hour. Dr Lucid will show slides and talk about what it is like to be a NASA Astronaut, her experiences on the MIR space station and answer questions from the students. Full details of the host schools and the time of her visits will be sent to your school early in the fourth term. An outline of her tour is listed below. If your school would like to be invited to a host school for one of her talks please contact me. The number of school representatives will be limited for each school visit.
